Based on in-depth qualitative interviews with 220 social housing tenants and research meetings with social landlords, Bad Weather, Good Habits: Encouraging social housing tenants to save more describes the aspirations, financial attitudes and experiences of social housing tenants. The report finds that most tenants have had life-changing experiences with long term financial consequences. Tenants know they should save for a rainy day, but they aren't. The report proposes a new, radical model for changing tenants’ savings' habits by landlords making it much easier for tenants to save.
