Lemos&Crane have been working with the Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales to explore the experiences that Catholic prisoners have of the Catholic ministry in prison, and how chaplains might build on their current activities to best promote reflective experiences and rehabilitative outcomes for prisoners.
The preliminary stage of the research has now been completed, and contains some fascinating results that we are very much looking forward to sharing. With over 300 individual responses from more than 15 differing prisons the data has proven to be extremely rich and will hopefully help the Catholic chaplaincy in prison gain a deeper insight into the role that faith plays in the lives of Catholic prisoners, and how the chaplaincy might better meet their needs.
