Engagement with the arts, museums and galleries creates opportunities to enjoy new experiences, develop positive social networks, express yourself in a new and meaningful way, broaden experience and ignite imagination. For people with experience of exclusion or homelessness such experiences might be fundamental steps on the road to long-term well-being, resilience and resettlement.
Lemos&Crane are looking to identify examples of good practice in promoting the use of the arts for homeless or vulnerably housed people, and to gain insight as to the impact of this work for those who participate. This is part of a wider body of work focused on improving access to and participation in the arts for vulnerable or excluded groups.
If you are involved in or aware of an organisation, project or activity that uses the arts to improve the well-being of people experiencing homelessness we would like to hear from you.
You can read more about this work and complete the good practice form here.
